Giant is an organism that a big size and strongly in Norse mythology. Giant usually hate the god, especially with the God of Aesir. Giant also called Jotun or Iotun or Troll.
There is some kind of giant. The general giant is the giant ice, they are lived in Jotunheim, one of nine in the world. The capital city of Jotunheim is Utgard, there is Utgard-Loki or Utgardaloki lived. Other called for the world of the giant is Land of The Giants.
Land of The Giants or Jotunheim is the huge place. The location is in the north Midgard, separated by river and jungle or you can called Jarnvid (Iron Jungle). Jarnvid is inhabited by the female troll, Jarnvidjur. They are giving birth a giant with wolf shape.
Be sides Utgard, so many places in Jounheim. Hrungnit giant lived in Land of The Giants border, Griotunagardar. Thiassi giant lived in Thrymheim mountain with his daughter, Skadi.
The other type of giant is fire giant that lived in Muspelheim. Surt becomes a master there.
Some of the giant females are to be the god because they are married to the goddess. An example is Jord, Grid, Gerd, and Rind. They are to be the god of Aesir.
Many gods of Aesir is generation or klan from the giant. An example is Odin, Thor, Tyr, and Heimdall. Don't forget with Loki, because his parents are giant. Loki is to be a leader of the giant of ice in Ragnarok.
